A family show created for the 400-years anniversary of the death of rabbi Low Yehuda ben Becalel called Maharal. The desires for creating an Immortal Being, the consequential risks and the eternal conflicts of Good and Evil are performed in a multimedia, non-verbal, funny grotesque style. Presented in co-production with the SERPENS Association.
The performance works with the motif of creation of Homunkulus and its activation. The basic situation will be developed into more general topic of responsibility for created work, also in relation to current global challenges, like body-lifting and cloning. Animation is used as main method of presentation, both classical object/puppet animation and film animation principles.
The main medium is brick-clay, which is modified and used right on stage in order to create some personages and artifact. These are re-modeled into other objects. This principle is often used in film animations, but its function in the real theatre time is rather new and unusual.
The show is suitable for children of 8 years of age and more.
